Leathercrafting Class - April 13, 2021
Using leather as your canvas, you will paint + create many colorful gifts for your family and friends! Come to class with your imagination brimming with ideas of patterns and colors you have seen in magazines, on Pinterest, or your own travel journals!
Our general class flow will go like this:
- Materials in your kit + questions before we start
- Basic color mixing + design planning
- Working on leather
- Finishing your projects + taking care of your supplies
Required Student Materials :
The cost of the class includes one complete kit: In your kit, you will receive up-cycled bag leather, leather hole punch + craft knife, high-quality acrylic paint, 5 pairs of key rings, heavy duty scissors, plus a few tools to create your pieces. You will need to supply your own painting surface, cutting mat/surface, and a straight edge ruler.
I will supply you with practice pages to help you design and play with the acrylics before we begin on the leather. We will go over basic color mixing + how to handle the brush when working on leather as a group, then allow you time to work on your own.
